Drogheda and Dundalk are two of the largest towns in Ireland, sitting either side of the M1, and the businesses competing with you there are often properly built rather than merely lucky. The county also has a border problem that nowhere else in the Republic has in quite the same way. Dundalk businesses compete for attention with Newry, half an hour up the road, where a different currency and a different search market apply. A redesign that ignores which side of the border your customers are actually on is solving the wrong problem.

Why Does Your WordPress Site Keep Breaking?

Plugins that update themselves and take the site with them, a theme bought years ago and abandoned by whoever made it, and a login page the whole internet can find. Dundalk

Ardee
A smaller market where a well-built site can hold a strong position without much of a fight. Ardee already produces search demand for web work, which is unusual for a town of its size.
Collon
Small enough that a single good page can own its searches outright. The trade here is between local reach and volume, and the honest answer is often to target Drogheda instead.
Carlingford and the peninsula
Tourism-led and seasonal, which changes what the site has to do. Bookings and opening times matter more than a services list, and the traffic arrives in bursts.
Dunleer and Clogherhead
Small trade and hospitality markets along the coast road. Rarely worth a page of their own, usually worth naming inside a Drogheda or Dundalk page.

Will a Website Redesign Lose the Rankings I Already Have?

It can, and this is the single most common way a redesign goes wrong. Rankings are lost when URLs change without redirects, when page content is thinned out in the name of a cleaner look, or when the new site is slower than the old one. None of that is inevitable. Every existing URL gets mapped and redirected, the pages that already earn impressions get kept rather than rewritten, and the new build is measured against the old one before it goes live. If you are talking to anyone else about a redesign, ask them how they plan to handle your existing URLs. The answer tells you a lot.

Will a Redesign Actually Bring Better Clients?

It can change who enquires, which is usually what people mean by better clients. A site that leads with price attracts people shopping on price. A site that is specific about what you do, who you do it for and what the work involves tends to filter out enquiries that were never going to suit. That is a copy and structure decision more than a visual one, and it is worth deciding deliberately rather than hoping the new design does it by itself.

How Long Will My Website Be Down During a Redesign?

It should not go down at all. The new site is built alongside the existing one, tested on a separate address, and only pointed at your domain once it is finished and checked. The switch itself takes minutes. If anyone tells you the site will be offline for a period during a rebuild, ask why, because there is rarely a good reason.

What Does a Website Redesign Cost in Louth?
