Privacy Policy

Plain English. No legalese. Last updated: June 2026.

Who we are

This website is operated by Dave Coleman, a sole trader providing web design and digital services to businesses in Ireland. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email me directly: contactus@daveacoleman.com.

What data we collect

The only data we collect comes from the contact form on this site. When you fill it in, we receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Your business name (optional)
  • Your message

We also collect a technical timestamp and your approximate location (country/region) via Cloudflare's infrastructure — this is used only for security and spam filtering, not for marketing.

We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party advertising pixels. We do not build profiles on visitors or sell data to anyone.

How we use your data

We use contact form submissions for one purpose only: to respond to your enquiry. Your details will never be:

  • Added to a mailing list without your explicit consent
  • Passed to third parties for marketing
  • Used for any purpose other than responding to what you asked

Who we share it with

Your contact form data passes through two services to reach us:

Neither service sells your data. Both are GDPR-compliant. No other third parties receive your information.

How long we keep it

We keep email correspondence (including contact form enquiries) for up to 2 years, in case it's needed to reference a previous conversation. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, just ask.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your data ("the right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — receive your data in a common format
  • Objection — object to how we process your data

To exercise any of these rights, email contactus@daveacoleman.com. We'll respond within 30 days. No forms, no fuss.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (Ireland): dataprotection.ie. We'd obviously prefer you came to us first.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle data in a meaningful way, we'll update this page. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
